I can't believe it's only hours away now!

I can't sleep! I can't believe that in only a few hours I'll be on my way to Uganda. WOW...what an opportunity...thanks again for forwarding that e-mail James!
Packed? nope...but I will be.
I am so looking forward to all the new people I'm about to meet, to working with Emma and Alison...to Uganda! Alison, Emma and I got to know each other quite well over e-mail so it was great to actually meet with them face-to-face...was that only last week? I think we're going to make a really good team.

In 8 days, I'm going to be on a forest walk with rescued chimpanzees...the reason for the extra TB test, measles, etc. vaccine and meningitis vaccine. I'm dreaming about this already.

gotta remember to pick up the T-shirts on the way to the bus!
...and yes, Rick and Tony, I'll fill out the application on my 12 hour layover in London...I promise!

what a great thing you are doing, and volunteering your time. The big ideas behind JGI are some of the most important ones being put to into practice anywhere. How much more important can you get then sustainability and education. Thank you for doing this - I look forward to hearing about the adventure, and glad you're doing a blog!

Gee, the Galapagos, Antarctica - before the tug sunk - and now Uganda, but what do you know about St. Catharines?

You never come here to play with me!

Hi Meg,
I will be on Ngamba Island July 10 - 12 with a friend of mine who is also a teacher. Maybe we will cross paths??
